The work carried out was completed to an exceptionally high level. Cannot fault the timescale - whole new heat pump system, solar panels, vent installation, wall and attic insulation, plaster boarding, plastering, and some additional jobs we requested, all completed in one and a half weeks. We had a few teething problems with the heating system initially (the house was way too hot for our needs), the after care provided, has been dealt with by Tomos' team in a timely manner. Communication is excellent. I would highly recommend this company.

Well the pipe work leaked immediately into a newly refurbished room which has now a stained the ceiling of two rooms downstairs, boiler looses pressure constantly, thermostat is faulty from the start. You keep ringing them to which they promise and promise they’ll sort it or we’ve ordered a new thermostat will be a week etc! Phone them back again and again to the point now they don’t answer the phone. Have messages from them saying a plumber will attend and guess what no plumber!! Has been 12 months now!!! Avoid!!!!!

STAY AWAY!
Towy Valley Heating or TVH as they are now trading as, is not a genuine heating company. They use external contractors to do ALL of the work, and as a result of subcontracting, they have no real control over the quality of work they carry out at your property, so please be warned!

We had a government grant to install and upgrade our home energy rating. We had a new boiler, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation top-up.

Result:

1. Our new boiler caught fire a few days after it was installed. It was scary! It has since been fine, but we paid for a Worcester engineer to inspect and sign off on the installation.

2. No warranty was registered on the cavity wall installation. We should have 25 years, but the paperwork wasn't completed properly by TVH.

3. No loft insulation work was carried out. They kept saying that they would book it in, but they never did, and we are still waiting.

Tom, the owner is charming and charismatic, until he starts ignoring you. Nothing back.

Because it was a grant, you would have thought they would have fulfilled the work?!? It has been 3 years.

We did have our concerns before agreeing to the work, but I persuaded my wife, and I have regretted it since.

Hope this review will help you decide on whether you want to work with TVH. Stay away

Don't bother letting them apply for a grant for you. Their 'surveyor' didn't even have caulk to fill the holes he drilled in our walls. 3 months later no application has been made and they don't answer calls. Jokers.
Thanks for another empty promise..still no contact (after reply below) or explanation of why no application has been made. They must spend more time reading Google reviews than actually speaking to customers

My grandparents had a new boiler fitted this week and they were very pleased. They did a excellent job. The boys were very professional. They were polite and respectful. Great service. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I was a bit worried about a few negative reviews but decided to go ahead with the loft insulation top up. I am glad that I did. Although I didn’t think I was eligible for a grant but they managed to get me a partial one. Work was completed and they even replaced a missing loft hatch. Since the work has been done I have noticed how much warmer my place is and have turned the heating down by 2 degrees despite us going through a very cold snap.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! Worst company I have ever dealt with, very difficult to get hold of and only did half of the job. It was a government grant for insulation and boiler. They left building waste in my garden that we had to get rid of ourselves eventually after asking many times to remove the 4 dumping bags. The builders left without sorting the skirting, so we paid for someone else to sort that out. They left us without a boiler for 3 weeks, eventually someone came to fit it, and then they never got the gas company to put a gas tank in. So we had to pay a local plumber to refit our old boiler as we couldn't afford the fit of the new gas tank. It was an absolute nightmare. Don't do it to yourselves!
