We have 5 Velux windows & recently ordered two insect blinds. My husband fitted them and as with all our Velux blinds we have ordered in the past the quality was 5 star. After 4 days one of our insect blinds broke. My husband spoke to Ross & explained fully what had happened. Rosa was so polite and helpful. Whilst my husband was on the phone Ross had ordered a replacement blind for us and apologised so much for our inconvenience. We have always had 5 star service from Velux. We highly recommend them. Thanks Ross for your help.

Terrible quality and design backed by poor customer service. My velux blind has failed due to poor selection of materials which has meant the strings have worn through the plastic fittings and now the blind doesn’t work. No option for a replacement as it happened after the three year guarantee period. Despite what velux advertising says these blinds are definitely NOT MADE TO LAST.

5 star customer service! We have 6 x Velux windows that came with our new-build house that was built in 2002. Recently (in 2024) one of the windows shattered out of nowhere. I contacted a local glazier who said it was best to contact Velux directly as they might be able to replace it for free as it might still be in warranty. I contacted Velux and not only did they replace the shattered window for free, they all replaced the remaining 5 windows as they were aware that this batch had a defect from way back when. I think that's very generous considering how many years had passed since they were installed by the developer! Anyway, local Velux technician Ed came to install the new windows and it took him less than an hour. Very happy with Velux and their customer service!

Dreadful customer service, customer advice, customer support.
In my amble opinion, I would steer clear of this third rate company.

Shocking customer service, first contacted in late May for quote to replace skylight, had to contact them several times since to progress quote. Paid £150 for survey which would be refunded if we proceeded. Eventually carpenter turned up for pricing the work over two months later.
Got a quote from Velux Glenrothes then phone calls twice that day asking if I wanted to proceed and asking for deposit.
On checking quote 'chippy' was wanting £2400 for fitting window, needless to say I told them to cancel the works.
After his quote of a scaffold, materials and disposal his hourly rate works out at £250 per hour for an 8 hour shift (didn't know I was hiring a lawyer to fit my skylight!!!!)
On checking cost of window and flashing kit I can buy the same items from another window supplier £150 cheaper than from Velux direct!
Avoid and buy elsewhere and get sensible quotes.
Having to give one star to enable posting of review but would give zero if I could.

I wish I could give a negative point. Placed an order in April and after a month it was strange cause nothing came up - neither delivery nor updates. Apparently, the courier missed delivery - not us as I haven't heard any call or doorbell. And this was already after a month from order placed. When we called to check the status they went like ok will rearrange your delivery but ETA given would be July 13th. Ok - well. We waited another month and a half and we just received another email a week ago saying that there is a delay on "Material" so will be delivered 20th instead.

And during this time, we were the one always called and checked the status and they never ever followed up. On top of that, their customer service team - just horrendous. Will we ever receive this order?

Use Parcelforce (Parcelfarce) for delivery who it would seem are unable to deliver our order 20 days plus after they supposedly 'tried' to deliver it. Spoken to Velux UK 5 times subsequently to try and resolve but they have to call a courier in Denmark first and then all you get is incorrect updates about what and when something might happen. Crazy how businesses in this day and age think this is an acceptable experience especially when Velux try to position themselves as a premium / scandi cool product.

Absolutory shambolic!!! Ordered 2 blinds on the 11 June, Received a notification on 21 July stating that they had arrived only to discover nothing had been delivered. After 3 unanswered emails and a telephone call later I was informed that my items are in France and they were unable to provide me with a new lead time for my blinds to arrive. The person on the phone was uninterested and unhelpful. I would urge anyone looking to get blinds for a roof window please use the company BLOC blinds!!!
