Virtue Feed & Grain in Old Town Alexandria is an absolute gem! The moment you step in, the cozy ambiance and rustic-chic decor set the perfect tone for a relaxed dining experience. This place is amazing! It was a little cold in there so be aware. Every dish delivered bringing you the heat, sweetness, texture, and flavor. I highly recommend! They gave me ice cream with a candle for my birthday ?. The ambience is calm and cozy. What a beautiful restaurant. It's also within walking distance of so many other places.

Came for the scotch eggs, and will return for the Scotch eggs! So yummy. I tried the fresco cocktail, and did not regret it.very refreshing.
Cauliflower tacos and fish tacos were a solid choice.
I was worried about red sauce pasta from
Kids menu, for my son, as it might be messy. But they made it perfect, with small amount of sauce.

We went on a Tuesday at 11:00a and there was so much space. We were able to sit outside in the shade with cool
Breeze despite the 90 degree weather.
I wish there were more seafood options being on the water at Alexandria.

My wife and I dropped in on a Saturday night. It was busy but we still were seated rather quickly. We ate the fried calamari, brussel sprouts, and duck poutine. All the food was great. The olives in the fried calamari was new for us, but it was a great addition to the plate. For drinks we had a lemon Julep and buffalo trace old fashioned. These were not as good sadly. Not horrible, but not something I'd order again, the giant ice cube in the rocks glasses, while "cool", took up most of the glass leaving very little room for anything else. The server was also okay, just never around and it seemed to take a while in between seeing him. Overall, I'd stip in for appetizers and probably a beer again.

Next to the Tobacco Art Factory Virtue is a well priced restaurant with excellent friendly service from all the staff. We enjoyed the burgers and fish tacos, and the beer. And if Bourbon is your thing then this is the place for you.

The whisky selection is excellent and my cocktails were good, but for the price and value, it was a huge disappointment. Our server was fine, but not special. The plating was tacky. For the price, the food should not be served in a paper tray (the poutine) and the chips & dips tasted prepackaged and again the plating was reminiscent of a college dorm rather than a nice waterfront restaurant. My salad greens were fresh but the beets and squash were mushy like baby food. My husband had the beef dip and the sauteed onions were anemic and undercooked and it was all just extremely sad and mediocre. Had it not been for the hot cider, I would have been really mad. But, the Old Fashioned cocktail and the hot cider with whisky were good. Meh... I'd never go back except for drinks. If not for the location, I think this restaurant would fail in any other setting.

Always love going here! Seems to be one of the few restaurants that is worth going to in Old Town (at least by the waterfront). Food was a bit pricey but considering it’s waterfront, it seems reasonable. The food was delicious and the ambiance of the whole restaurant felt great. The servers were amazing as well.

I was in town for work. Friends and coworkers picked Virtue for dinner. I loved the area, the food, and the service. I recommend it highly. Everyone loved their choices. My rockfish was wonderful. The quinoa salads with salmon looked very impressive. Not skimpy at all.
