Great oil delivery service. Moved into a property that has an oil boiler; never had one before so didn't really know what to expect. Delivery went great! Our tank is in the rear of our property so access is difficult but it was made to look easy. No fuss, quick and polite delivery chap. Let us know the day before when the delivery would happen & it actually came a few days sooner than expected which was nice! Didn't need to be in for the delivery to happen either. Will be using Chandlers again for our oil.

Ordered 3rd said it would be 17th for delivery which was fine, great service as actually delivered 9th, very respectful of my property by closing gates afterwards, polite driver, cannot fault anything, fully recommend and 8p a litre cheaper than the local supplier that's in my village.

Back in mid-January I ordered 1000 litres of Kerosene from WFC Chandlers. Our old, condemned tank was still sited next to our new one, so I made a note of this on the order (tank was buckled so obvious it was unusable). The delivery driver dumped the 1000 litres into the old tank, walked past the new one to do so and carried out no visual checks of the tank before dispensing!!! This caused it to split and leak oil around my garden. Chandlers came out and pumped what was left into the new tank and told me their insurance company would deal with the spill. Weeks passed with no news from Chandlers - no customer service or feedback forthcoming, our only contact was with the loss adjusters who were waiting on the go-ahead from the insurance company (trying to find a way of denying responsibility, no doubt). Finally, the clean-up company arrived 19th April to start work but now the oil had been in the ground for 3 months it had spread from 1.2m deep to over 2m deep, not sure if it travelled under our house now! Lots of digging and excavation, waiting 2 weeks for skips to be removed from our driveway, then informed another approach is required. It is now approaching the end of June, part of the garden has been fenced off with a very large hole in the ground for weeks and we are still waiting, despite chasing the clean-up company who seems reluctant to keep us updated. The whole experience to date has been frustrating, distressing, stressful, worrying and extremely annoying. How can a company you rely on to be professional, cause damage to your property then not even keep in contact to ensure everything is being dealt with satisfactorily? We did not ask for this, it was brought upon us by the error made by the Chandlers driver, and we are now expected to shut up and put up with the inconvenience! And if you read this and ask if we have been offered any compensation for the upheaval, inconvenience, and stress this has caused, I will simply laugh and say I just hope this doesn’t happen to you!!! All we received was the cost of the oil lost at the price it cost in January!!!

First time I have used and was delighted with their service. I always check which company is the cheapest the day i order. Have had varying experiences on first orders. This went very smoothly. So smoothly that until the chit came through door did not even know that the tank was filled. Pity as I always give oil del person a cake,this was missed as so quiet.

Ordering was easy. Price was very competitive compared to some of the big providers. Delivery was well organised, being a lot quicker than the original date when ordering. Customer service was effective when I called with a delivery enquiry. I would recommend and will use again, obviously as long as the price remains so competitive

All great... until there's a problem. The driver was very friendly and accommodating of the fact that we have two tanks which needed the delivery splitting between. However, don't expect them to pay for any damage they inflict on your property!

When the driver left, he chose to manoeuvre in particular way in our yard that resulted in him driving over and damaging a manhole cover (quoted ~£300+VAT to replace) - I contacted WCF Chandlers and was told by Louise Biggs their Customer Services Manager in no uncertain terms that they wouldn't be covering the cost of the damages because there was "no indication that there are drain covers on the yard in the delivery instructions" and that "it is not always possible to see or indeed manoeuvre around drain covers" and quoted clauses from their t's & c's at me about surfaces that their drivers "must pass over". I explained that the drain covers are very easily visible and that they are in the far corner of our yard where the driver did not need to manoeuvre - our yard being over 30m across and around 10m deep - and so there was no need to pass over them.

My last correspondence was on the 8th Feb which has since been completely ignored. Had the matter have been resolved we would have happily continued using WCF Chandlers and this would be a five star review - however, they apparently think it is fine to come onto your property and damage it, then say its your fault for not telling them to 'watch out' for every possible thing they might drive over or knock into...

Failed to deliver not just once but twice!

I ordered and paid for an oil delivery on March 2nd for delivery on or before March 15th. It's been three days since the due delivery date, and the oil has yet to arrive.

I had to take the initiative to find out what had happened to my deliveries, and neither Boiler Juice nor Chandlers appeared concerned by my plight. The original order could have been delivered on any day from early March, but Chandler's sat on it until close to the deadline by which time they apparently had driver availability issues. Further, they revealed that they could not honour the second deadline because of a road closure (the road was closed at around 9am, but the first I heard was at 3.30pm when I rang to chase the delivery).

Frankly, I found customer service to be an unpleasant combination of defensive, patronising, and ineffective.

I urge you to choose carefully when you next need a delivery of oil!
