A great service station, lots of parking with pretty planters. There was a good selection of places to buy something to eat including Chopstix, KFC and Waitrose, plus a couple of other options. There is a Starbucks and a WHSmith as well as a lovely gift shop. The toilet facilities were spotlessly clean and pleasant.
The seating area was great, well maintained with space between the tables so you are not squeezing through to get to an empty table or crowded as you try to drink your coffee. There were friendly staff clearing and cleaning tablets.
I would definitely recommend stopping here.

The services as a whole were very good however the caravan parking 'ONLY' needs to be better managed, we were lucky to get the last space however other spaces were taken up by works vans and a lorry. Caravan drivers have no other options for parking and after long distances of driving, need a rest. This needs to be better policed and in fairness I would add Gretna not the only services where I have this complaint. On the other hand you could provide a larger caravan parking area to accommodate lorries , works vans and even cars.
Thank you for your response however my complaint was the non policing of vehicles parked in the caravan only (clearly marked) parking.

Car park is just not big enough for these services. The queues for the toilets were really long today, which isn't great with a small child in tow. Food great as ever, but a less relaxing visit than I've experienced before.

Don't normally rate services but this is the nicest, cleanest services I'd ever seen in the UK with the widest range of food options. Layout is circular and logical and the staff were super friendly. Toilets very clean and there are loads of fast EV chargers to boot. Superb 👍

My husband and I received exceptional service and care from the staff when we ended up 'stuck' at Welcome Break for 24 hours after a motorway breakdown, which saw our car towed away. A staff member even drove us to the railway station, when the taxis and Ubers didn't want to come out to pick us up. Such a kindness for stranded strangers. Thank you again!

I made a quick stop on my journey and wow, what a pleasant surprise! The staff at Chopstix were exceptional – Pam really stood out with her awesome service. The food was top-notch, and everything was spotless and well-kept. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone needing a break; the speed of service was lightning-fast too!

We stopped here for a break when travelling to the Lake District. A large car park but insufficient spaces for disabled visitors. With a wheelchair bound passenger needing a wider than standard car parking space we had to park in a parent child space. The accessible washroom facilities were below par with only one disabled toilet in the carpark due to renovations of the washrooms within the building. A good range of food outlets and shops. Fuel prices were outrageous at £169.9 for unleaded petrol. We drove into Gretna village and purchased unleaded petrol for £147.9

It's a service station on a busy road that provides a much needed place to stop and refresh if on a long drive. It has plenty of food and other ancillary shopping available, clean toilets, showers etc and a central courtyard where you can sit to eat and relax. You are a captured audience going in there and prices are much higher than the local shops so be prepared to open your wallet / purse if everyone in your car is hungry or thirsty. On the day I used them, it was tipping it down outside and so needing to stretch my legs, freshen up and grab something to eat it was perfect and I was able to stay dry.
