Fantastic experience, so much better than dealing with pushing sales people in your homes for hours on end. Cheaper too!

Really helpful with planning permission, sorted out all for us at no cost.

Really great to have the follow up inspection. One of the windows needed a slight adjustment after installation but having that confirmed by the architect made it much easier to raise it and be sure everything else was correct. It was sorted within a week.

Highly recommend.

We recently bought a new house and needed to replace multiple (very large) windows. I was feeling nervous about asking for quotes because I was worried I would be taken advantage of since I know nothing about window installation or general requirements. I stumbled upon the Window Advice Center website on Google and decided to take a chance to see if they could help me and I'm so glad that I did. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish!

Following my initial email they sent someone to come take measurements and help me decide what it was I was looking for. He didn't try to sell me anything, just talked to me about my needs and then helped me understand the different options available on the market so that I could decide what I thought would work best for me. He explained all the pros and cons for each item we decided upon and answered questions at each step of the way. I felt so comfortable. He then left and wrote up a spec document which Window Advice submitted to contractors on my behalf.

Once the quotes came back I was able to pick a contractor and Window Advice helped me with all the paperwork.

When things didn't quite go to plan and the contractor hadn't contacted me by the agreed date to schedule an install, they stepped in and sorted everything for me.

One of the windows that was installed was cracked and needed to be replaced. The contractor was very apologetic and ordered a replacement immediately however when I received the invoice which stated I needed to pay within 7 days I wasn't sure whether I should pay it given that the job wasn't finished. I spoke with Window Advice on the phone and they helped me understand what to do and when to pay and they also followed up with the contractor to understand when my new window would be installed. I felt so relieved.

Finally, once the final window was fixed, they came out to inspect the window installation and made sure everything was up to spec and installed correctly. This made me feel so much more confident in my purchase!

Windows Advice did an absolutely amazing job from start to finish and I'm so grateful for their help. I highly recommend them to anyone who is uncertain about getting new windows because they make the whole process easy and smooth!

Thank you for your help!

Window Advice Centre was immensely helpful all through the process. They first helped in scoping the project with special features that I hadn’t even known were options but that better suited our needs. They then got us much better quotes than what we had found separately and helped us navigate the paperwork we needed for our funding. The suppliers did a fantastic job, and when the work was done, WAC came out to check it in detail. Five star service indeed and highly recommended.

Strongly recommend using Window Advice Centre if you live in a conservation area.

We contacted WAC speculatively for advice on replacement windows in the Hyndland conservation area, after getting a prohibitively expensive quote elsewhere. It was definitely a smart move.

Ken got back to us very quickly, talked through the options and recent changes in legislation that allows different materials to be used while maintaining the appearanceof the original windows, and that expensive planning permission was no longer required. He was able to arrange for someone to come out quickly at a time thst suited us. That someone was George.

George talked through the process with us, explained everything very clearly, from energy efficiency and noise reduction to the tendering process and time scales. He was very knowledgeable and didn't baffle us with jargon, nor was there any sales pressure.

Once we had decided to go ahead George took measurements and arranged to return with quotes from a competitive tender process. It's fair to say that our jaws dropped when the quotes came back at less than half the price we had ben given prior to contacting WAC.

We went with a company that we had seen working in our area. They replaced the old windows in 2 days, were very professional, neat and tidy, and paid attention to detail. We were very happy with the results and now have the smartest windows in the street.

George came back to inspect the work and only then did we settle the bill.

We would highly recommend using WAC, particularly if you live in a conservation area. The whole process, from start to finish, was hassle free and dealt with very professionally. No sales pressure, just sound advice grounded in years of experience.

Other reviews have shared how the process works and it is as straightforward as described. The formal tender they prepare means all quotes meet this standard so you can accept the lowest quote knowing you are getting what was ordered. I live in a listed building which meant consents were required to replace back and front windows. WAC organised, submitted and gained the necessary consents. Their understanding of what would pass muster meant the process was painless - apart from paint colour but thats another story and not an issue with WAC. I paid the planning fee and WAC met the cost of the architect. Well done to Ken, George, Guy and all at WAC.

Was recommended Window Advice Centre by a friend in neighbourhood. We live in a conservation area with many windows needing urgent attention. George got back the following day and made a prompt meeting. We received an education about wooden sash windows over several visits from George. The tendering process was clear and more detailed than competitors.

When I eventually committed to the project, turnaround was relatively quick. The fitting team were very slick and fast and done without fuss and the house cleaned of dust and old windows every day.

Delighted with the wooden sash double glazed windows. A few old ones remain and will use same team again in due course.

Extremely useful service!
We were recommended WAC by friends and it turned out to be a wholly worthwhile tip. Malcolm and Ken and their colleagues in the office were helpful, professional and responsive throughout, and provided the kind of experience and expertise needed when making a decision involving such a large investment, and which has such a huge potential effect on the appearance and comfort of one's home.
After a thorough intial visit to scope the required work and to ensure that they knew what we wanted, WAC managed the tendering process and came forward with recommendations for contractors. Our eventual choice of contractors did a wonderful job and we are extremely pleased with the result. The additional huge bonus was that we had been spared all the initial stress of sorting out the sheep from the goats in a crowded market.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Windows Advice Centre to anyone thinking of purchasing double glazing.

Just had our old bifold doors removed and replaced, using Window Advice Centre for their expertise. This is the second time we have used them, the first time was about 25 years ago in our previous house! There is so much more to know about doors/windows other than just what they look like, because I wanted the best in terms of efficiency and performance and since I don't have that knowledge I went to W.A.C.
So glad I did! The fact that they come out and check the installation afterwards is so reassuring. In fact (from someone who never posts reviews) I can honestly say I would not buy windows or doors without using W.A.C. to help.
ps my husband is a wheelchair user and they went to great lengths to ensure the door and low threshold were suitable for him.
