Subject: Urgent Concern Regarding Unlawful Actions by Yuenergy UK

I wish to express my deep disappointment regarding the actions of Yuenergy, a company based in the UK. Their staff have engaged in questionable practices to enforce suspicious and potentially illegal contracts. This has been exemplified in their recent dealings with Gurkha's Pride.

We have observed alarming activities, including unauthorized entry into our business premises, as documented in audio and video footage. Following a troubling incident, the entrance of Gurkha's Pride was locked without prior notice, and we were instructed to send tenancy agreements or landlord proof to an unofficial WhatsApp account. This situation raises serious concerns about their legitimacy and practices.

Additionally, they tampered with our key, which has further exacerbated our distress. This behavior not only reflects a lack of professionalism but also puts countless others at risk of becoming victims of similar actions. They wanted tenancy agreeement to emposed expensive fake long time contract with our company to make huge money.

We believe that such practices must be addressed promptly to protect both businesses and individuals. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Nearly a year I've swapped to Yu energy and to start first few months my bill was £300 but then gone up to £600 and when I've complained they said it's because you don't have smart meter to be cheaper for you then they came on 20th Aug and installed it. My first bill today on 2nd September is £972 ... I'll definitely change them now as can't afford their high incorrect bills no more. The town coffee Ltd, LU7 1EA

We took over a restaurant on the 22.04.2024 and unfortunately enough the old owner had a contract with this company and even though we are the new owners and technically we should be able to chose the provider that we want to proceed with, they turned our meter off on the 15th of May without notifying us and all of our meat was defrosted as we didn't know, which costed us around £4500 of financial loss of our stock.
We addressed this and they never took any responsibility of the fault which occurred from their end.
When our electricity was cut off, they visited our shop while I wasn't there and they spoke to a member of staff who never had any authorisation to make any contracts, and since my staff's English was not their first language, and due to the electricity being cut off my staff was already in panic, the representatives told my staff to sign a new contract for them to put back the electricity. Without clarifying anything with me, they took my staff's signature and now they're telling me that I've made a new contract with them and that I can't cancel my contract until the official end date.
This company is the definition of modern day mafia and they will manipulate and persuade anyone to get their money into their pockets without clarifying and checking anything with the actual account owner.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with this time of suppliers.
I'm in the process of seeking legal action because their services are really bad and they don't seem to be bothered to better them anytime soon as they reject to take responsibility for nothing!
Also here's the photo evidence of how their technician left our panel, as they said they will come back and fix it "Tomorrow".
That tomorrow never came, it's been more than 3 weeks now and still waiting for someone to come and fix this

Worst worst company to be with. I took over a new business and I spoke with yu enegy and they gave me a quote, however I was told that there is an outstanding balance left by the old tenant of £590 and that must be cleared before I can sign a contract. By the time I was ready to pay the balance they told me the rate I was given before was not correct and it’s a differe they said that I must of got it wrong even tho I wrote down the rate I got. I paid the balance and they are still chasing the old tenant for £490 for god knows what.I have signed a contract on 7th August 2024 and still not had a bill as they say “system issue” I have asked to speak with a manager I was told I would receive a call but nothing till now. I would like to say to the new customer who are thinking of joining this company please please avoid and run away from this computer as much as you can.

-This company even does not deserve a single star. Anyone thinking to sign up with this company DON'T DON'T DON'T, that would be your biggest mistake in your life.
*When I moved into the premises in August 2022, Yu Energy failed to disclose the rates I would be on, despite my repeated requests for this information. This lack of transparency prevented me from making an informed decision about my energy supply.
*When I attempted to open an account, Yu Energy refused to do so, falsely claiming that my documents were falsified.
*And they are NOT allow you to swich the company either.
*During this period, I was shocked to receive a visit from a bailiff sent by Yu Energy to recover money owed by a previous tenant. This action was completely unwarranted and caused me unnecessary stress, as I had no connection to the previous tenant’s debt.
*I vacated the property in May 2024. To my surprise, after I moved out, Yu Energy unilaterally opened an account for me without requesting any additional documentation—something they refused to do when I was at the property. To make matters worse, Yu Energy applied excessive out-of-contract rates for the entire period, instead of standard market rates.
*Simply AVOID this SCAM company

The worst company I have ever dealt with. I have had 10 months of hell. They insist on smart metres which simply do not work. I was left without heating for my tenants for the whole of December due to their incompetence and it’s been a catalogue of errors every single month since including £175 fines for not allowing access to the building - despite at the time of the text I was in the building with that engineer! I’ve had made up metre readings and constant rate increases due to their metres not working. I have had metres changed over multiple times and “managers” attend to assure me things will finally work yet they don’t. They lie and say matters are being dealt with by Managers yet when I finally get through to said managers they know nothing about the issues. I even had a complaints handler say himself that he was embarrassed by the failings. He now apparently trains people in complaint handling despite not being able to solve one himself!
They never call back when they promised and if you do speak to someone they are highly unprofessional and use a worn out script of apologies which they must dish out all day every day yet mean nothing as they never do what they promise. They pass the buck to YUsmart but then YUsmart just pass the buck back. Both companies are actually in the same building - so don’t be fobbed off with a delay in them contacting each other.
With the latest issue I have been threatened that if I go to the energy ombudsman they would charge me the previously issued compensation despite that being issued back in June for earlier complaints and there being further new issues/complaints raised since. I don’t know how they sleep at night. The only thing they do efficiently is take your money each month without fail.

Dear lord do not use these scammers. Been trying to switch accounts to new tenants for over a year. Departments don't talk to each other, spam calls all day about smart meter installations despite not trading and they had been informed multiple times. We are now having to go through solicitors to get this resolved as they have now started trying to threaten me with court even though its their side that has messed up. Every 'customer support' agent seems to disappear and email addresses become unresponsive or they just no longer exist?!? Have complained several times and explained/sent evidence from our solicitors and the bills keep climbing, they keep sending out enforcement officers (which i get charged for), hound me with phone calls, pass me from person to person to have to start the process all over again. Nothing resolved, every member of staff is clueless and obviously have zero training. Including the management.

After 25 years of trading, providing food for the people, I decided to switch to YU Energy for my energy needs. However, their insatiable hunger for money and utter disrespect for customers have left me utterly appalled.

Their service has been a disaster from day one. But the ultimate betrayal came when they brazenly entered my property without warrant, insisting on removing the gas meter. Their audacity knows no bounds.

Not only did they fail to provide any justification for their actions, but they also displayed a complete lack of regard for my rights as a customer. It's clear that YU Energy's primary concern is lining their own pockets, regardless of the consequences for their patrons.

Despite their attempts to abscond with the gas meter, they couldn't hide the fact that the error was entirely their own. But make no mistake – this doesn't excuse their reprehensible behavior.

I refuse to let YU Energy get away with their gross misconduct. I'll be taking this matter to the ombudsman gas and ensuring that others are warned about the despicable practices of this company. Stay far away from YU Energy if you value your sanity and dignity as a customer.
