Steve Harris / Zave Energy is totally unprofessional and not to be trusted.

The solar panels he sold us fell off our roof and into a neighbour's garden. We raised this issue with him but he sent us an email saying that I "should pick it up with my insurance." I would not trust this company or work with him again.

When we first started to think about solar energy for our property, we researched every aspect we could. The science is mostly simple and understandable.
What we weren't prepared for were the number of dubious offers out there. When contacting some companies it became clear that they didn't want to go into specifics. It was more a pressure sale than help with answers. After months and a purely long shot email we ended up in contact with Zave Energy. We spoke to Steve and were ready for the usual sales talk but that is not what we got. Steve answered all of my questions, first those to which I knew the answers and then he was able to answer those questions which I didn't know as well. It was clear to me that Steve actually knew his stuff.
He then came down to visit and we were really impressed with his level of expertise and technical knowledge. We were not dealing with a salesman but an expert.
The result was a solution which far exceeded our expectations, offered better and more economical solutions and provided suggestions for future proofing our set up.
We are now a few months in with our new installation and every calculation done beforehand is proving spot on. In fact during this summer we sold more energy than we used. Luckily Steve advised us to future proof with battery inverters and we are now in the process of arranging these with Steve.
If you are thinking about going Solar all I ask is you include Steve at Zave as part of your considerations.
Ask him anything, even throw in some trick ones and you won't be disappointed.
