They came to do loft insulation, extrator fans, and boiler thermostat. It was a we are here to do this. You want the kitchen extractor here with different people doing different bits everywhere, 3 days after having sent two wrong teams. Someone turned up to install the thermostat.

Fast forward to now, the boiler broke, it had a leak, the heating wasn't working. The extractor fan in the kitchen broke and there's a possible issue with the bathroom one.

They sent a local engineer. Who perfusly. said he doesnt work for them, with them. They hired him to look at the boiler issue. Where he discovered it was wired up incorrectly.

They sent another local engineer again not working for them, to look at the extractor fan in kitchen and bathroom. He informed us it's unsafe should be on a seperate isolation switch. Is in the wrong location. More importantly it wasn't a kitchen one it was a bathroom one. He asked about the bathroom ine we showed him explained what we briefly been told, saw. He again said really it should be on a separate switch and there's a possibility the pipe from it may have cone away from where they put it and could be leaking into the roof. He explained they should have made a hole or some way to vent out the water steam Condensation without it being on or near brickwork He went away saying he'd let them know cost , and we never heard back.

They sent another two people who said they where part of zoa but also their own company, who arrive at 19:00 without ID
where Laughing at me asking for their credentials and showed me they where here to replace the fan with the same one
I refused to allow them due to the time, the fact they where just switching the same thing, it would still be unsafe the wrong fan. They brought up the bathroom time and time again, even after correcting them saying but it's in the kitchen. I then asked what their resolution for the actual bathroom is he told me, and showed me pictures of examples he had put right, told us he didn't understand why the company had sent people out who obviously don't know what their doing or.. and said he'd let them know and an amount and we would hear back

We haven't until I phoned them, which i had to explain everything then to be told we can't do extractor fans like the hood through the scheme only wet room and bathroom so I asked why would they choose to put one in the kitchen then and he said because of taps and steam and went back to wet room bathroom. I re explained they have put this in a kitchen you have just said it should be x y so now you need to resolve this and based on what you have just told me and what these engineers have said I only see that being two options...I then was told he would speak to whoever and i would hear back ...

They asked us to remove a truthfull review once one part had been fixed.

I have been ignored and passed through different teams, and I am still waiting on a resolution. 6 months of issues,stress,money and incompetence from zoa directly!

Andy and Tommy, turned up on time. Work was carried out with great efficiency. I was updated as necessary along with clear instructions on how to use my boiler.

Excellent job done. The team was very professional and helpful. I was hesitant at first as I didn't know if it is a scam or real but to my surprise this journey was so smooth and quick. I was five a new boiler and insulation work was done upto a very professional standard. Ventilation was updated in my property. My job was completed within a week of my application. And the best thing was, it was all free ?

Zoa energy turned up at my house to do loft insulation and fit a extractor fan in my kitchen and fit smart meter to my boiler, that was two weeks ago and my boiler isn’t working I have no hot water or heating the installers of these items appeared to be pretty clueless leaving mess everywhere and not tidying up behind them.They fitted an extractor fan stuck a plastic trim to hide wires stuck on wall not straight so pulled it off the wall pulling paint off the wall and tried to cover it up with white spray paint which didn’t work as my kitchen is a cream colour so very obvious to see and the trim still not stuck on straight . Been waiting over two weeks for a engineer to come fix my boiler and so far every appointment made to come have been let down with poor excuses as to why they can’t make it tried contacting company and constantly put through to a answering machine avoid this company at all costs seem to be cowboys that turn up do a poor job and you will never hear from them again. The people that turned up hardly spoke English and didn’t even explain how the new smart meter worked ( probably because it doesn’t ).avoid this company at all costs looks like I’m going to have to pay someone to come in and fix all the problems that they have caused not impressed at all !.

Update

Zoa energy have returned to my house 2 weeks later to try and fix the issue with the boiler spent 3 days trying to rewire boiler ( after they cut every single wire to boiler ) was told by the technician that they would have to completely rewire the boiler which turned out to mean use connectors to join on to old wiring that was left ! I was told everything was now working and they left turned out nothing was working still no further forward phoned the complaints line at around 4:45 pm and was told office hours are between 9-5 and they hung up and wouldn’t answer any of my calls after that the customer service / after care is terrible as well as the workman ship they do!

2 nd update

It’s now been nearly two months since Zoa started work on my house still have no heating or hot water they have come back multiple times trying to fix the issues with no success they are fully aware that there is still an issue but have had no contact from them and they don’t seem to interested in coming back to fix the problems so have been forced to find another company to come in and have a brand new heat pump fitted which is going to cost me in the region of £8000 + I encourage anyone thinking of using Zoa energy to seriously reconsider they are just after the government funding and have no interest in fixing any of the issues they have created.

We had Zoa energy to put in a boiler for my elderly mother through the government grant scheme March 2024 They turned up and completed in three days, first day they said they had to paint all the walls white as it has been recently stripped of wallpaper and it would effect the government grant if it wasn’t painted. They got the job done early mornings and late nights, 5 men came all rammed into a scruffy white van. We have bare copper pipes running up the walls, an ugly fan in the kitchen with trunking, all the rooms were empty so the could have taken the floorboard’s up, but they did it the lazy and quickest way. It was hard to communicate with them as only one spoke English. They took lots of photographs and video’s and they have come back numerous times for evidence of benefits more photos and videos . We are now in October and they have come back to take photographs of the flue, they took it apart took photos and put it back together, we have no idea why . I would definitely not recommend this company .

No form of contact from this company . They come to rectify something only to cause fault to something else . They take on multiple jobs at one time and leave the customer stranded. It’s been over 3 weeks with no end in sight . I would recommend you allow professionals to handle your insulations because this company is anything but professional . Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed . I will most definitely be raising my case further to the council to have this company reviewed for their standard of work and incompetence.
